Flourescent Bulbs

October 25, 2012

I am originally from the Philippines and I am used to white lights and not the yellow lights (bulbs). Since we moved in this house I always complain about how dark it is in the bedroom but we keep on forgetting to buy fluorescent bulbs every time we go to the store. There are many changes on the horizon in the lighting industry. With new regulations on disposable light bulbs everyone needs to find the type of bulbs they can use.

These new bulbs need to provide great lighting but also meet the standards of being long lasting and environmentally friendly.  While my husband does not care much about bulbs as he wants to live like a Troll in a cave. He reminds me of the trolls from his favorite books and movies, light will turn him to stone. I on the other hand love sunlight as well as well light rooms around our house.

Love These Pumps :)

I know I should be starting picking up Charles toys in the living room but here I am browsing on the web. With so many great shoes and styles available online sometimes it can be frustrating when the store don’t carry my shoe size which is 5. I do really love these pumps but the smallest it is available in is 5.5 size which is a little bigger for me. I can wear 5.5 boots or sneakers as I also wear socks with these types of shoes.

Before I bought a 5.5 sandals and thought it would work on my feet in the long run but it didn’t work well for me. I wore the sandals once during my husband’s sister’s wedding and that‘s it.

Bridgeway Free Learning Style Assessment

October 22, 2012

My husband, Doug is a high school teacher and he says it is sad to see students that are not able to do simple things like read and add. Lets face some facts here, not all schools are created equal. Some schools are ran well and do a great job teaching students. Others are overwhelmed and overcrowded and students can at times get lost in the shuffle. Even your best schools have troubles identifying students who need help. Luckily, for everyone involved there are options to help your child.

Bridgeway Free Learning Style Assessment is provided by Bridgeway Academy to provide you with an honest assessment of your child’s strengths and weaknesses as a student. Once you receive your free assessment with some ideas of how to help weak areas. If you would like to then enroll your child in the Bridgeway Academy options can be discussed. Whatever you do please do your child a great favor and give them the great education they deserve.

Charles' Halloween Costume

In a few days October will be over. Time flies really fast and we are all looking forward to Halloween and the other holidays as well. Last night, my husband ordered Charles’ NASCAR Kyle Busch Halloween Costume. I do really like the Dale Earnhardt, JR. Halloween Costume but Charles prefers the M&M’s one. At least though Charles is not wearing a Captain America costume which my husband really likes for Charles to wear on Halloween.

My husband is a big fan of superhero’s and Charles is not. He likes NASCAR races the most and so do I. I can watch it as well when Charles is watching the race. Anyway, Doug is a little bit worried maybe Charles costume will not arrive before Halloween. I told him we still have plenty of time unless bad weather really happens which is a big joke…

What is Rebif?

October 20, 2012

I have no idea what Rebif is all about so I had to looked it up on the internet. I just learned Rebif is a prescription medicine that can be taken when someone has Multiple Sclerosis. Before taking any Rebif medicine make sure to talk to your healthcare provider about your health problems for possible side effects of the medication.

I Love This Power Player Handbag Satchel

October 19, 2012

Its hard to describe how my day was today. I have not been feeling very well over the last few days now and it is driving me insane. I had not slept last night and my runny nose won’t stop from coming. At least though Charles is feeling so much better now. The best part of my day today was when I ordered, Power Player Handbag Satchel from my favorite website which is JUSTFAB. I didn’t think twice when I saw the handbag all I know was I wanted to buy it using my savings without asking my husband first.

Later in the afternoon we drove down to Beaver Lake and saw the trees. It is pretty at this time of the year and I am glad we got a chance to see them before the leaves fall to the ground. Then we went to Colton’s Steak House and Grill for our dinner. I had ordered Sirloin Steak and Shrimp with sautéed mushrooms. I really couldn’t tell how my food tasted like. Being sick is not fun and I hope I will feel better soon.

Charles Got a Runny Nose

October 15, 2012

Charles didn’t sleep very well last night. He’s got a cold and tonight he has a runny nose. The only good thing is; he is still playing and looks very active throughout the day. It is really hard for me to see my son get sick. Though I can count on my fingers how many times Charles has gotten sick in 4 years. My husband is working everyday and he gets more busy during the wrestling season which is coming later this month. We live far away from his sisters so it is only Charles and me during the day. I am so looking forward for this week to be over. Over the last few months it has been a struggle with some stuff and I am glad it is over. Oh and hope to take a drive Sunday and see the trees changing color, it is beautiful in the Ozarks this time of year.

Want a Karaoke Machine?

October 12, 2012

I am originally from the Philippines, and a karaoke machine is a big part in everyday’s entertainment. The music is just to have fun and sing. It is good to have karaoke in your home specially when you are having a party. Great for entertainment even though not everybody can sing well. Whether you are looking for Spanish or Chinese Karaoke Music is not a problem anymore.

What I Want for Christmas?

Christmas Day is more than two months away and I am looking forward to that day. Over the last few weeks now I have been browsing on the web looking for Christmas presents and I did find a couple of items that I really like. I love the Xena faux-suede ankle boot. This is perfect for skinny jeans which I prefer wearing rather than straight cut jeans. Hopefully this will be available sometime soon as I really want to buy them.

Galapagos Cruise Ship a Taste of Luxury

October 11, 2012

My husband, Doug and I never really got a chance to visit other places after we got married. A baby was on the way and it is difficult to travel when you have a child. Now that our son, Charles is big enough to travel and experience what the world has to offer. My husband and I are planning to take a cruise ship vacation not only here in the United States but  to other countries as well. My husband and I are always interested in  the animals we see even though we just see them on television.

How much more when we can get a chance to touch any of these animals? I am interested to know more about Galapagos Cruises. I think Galapagos Cruise Ship is a taste of luxury while having a vacation without over spending on our budget. Galapagos Cruise is definitely a fun-filled family vacation to look forward to this summer and we cannot wait to experience the wonder of the Galapagos islands.

My Lil' Football Player

October 8, 2012

Thanks to very nice weather today. Charles and I got a chance to play outside and had a picnic. Though Charles didn’t eat the peanut butter sandwich that I made for him. I guess he was too excited to be out and run around the yard while playing football. Oh well, I had quite a busy day today. I baked some Classic Yellow Cupcakes and Charles loved it. And for our dinner I had cooked Chicken Strips and it tasted really good. I realized cooking is my other passion though when the oil is splattering over me it scares the hell out of me.

October 6, 2012

Home decorating makes your house look beautiful and more personal. Whenever you are planning on re-decorating your home, finding the right home interior stores is an absolute must. The Garden Gates is your home decorating store for furniture, home decor, campania, holiday decorating, garden and patio living. Of course finding a store that does not break your budget is important as well.

Buy Pinoy Products

I had a very good day today. We went to the Asian store, Manna Oriental Market, and got a bag of Jasmine rice and other Filipino products. Then we went to the Antique store and Charles got a NASCAR CAT car for only $6 which is a great deal. While at the antique store I had decided to stopped by another Asian store, A’Chau Oriental Market. I got some string beans, milk fish, and a ripe jackfruit. String beans are one of my favorite vegetables to eat So I ate like a pig tonight. Just kidding!

IFA Auto Insurance

October 2, 2012

My husband, Doug is a school teacher and a wrestling coach. Doug uses texting to reach all of his wrestlers if there is an event coming up or for some reason he needs to contact them quickly. It is way easier to text 45 kids at once then make 45 phone calls. What he thinks is crazy is how kids will not pick up a phone call but will instantly answer a text. Doug is always saying how worried is though when texting kids because they may be driving.

Texting while driving is huge especially with kids. Distracted driving has always been a problem, messing with a radio, making phone calls or texting all have and continue to be huge dangers on the road. Safe driving is becoming more and more a focus and many companies are urging no distracted driving. Even insurance companies like IFA Auto Insurance are crusading for safe driving by all, not just teens. Protect yourself and your loved ones and pay attention to the road.

Yummy! No More

October 1, 2012

Over the last few days now my son, Charles keeps on asking for sweets before eating any meals. He even likes to say, “triple please” so I can give it to him right away. As a mom I don’t want to give him when he wants to only eat sweets. I am really afraid he might end up with diabetes just like his dad. My husband, Doug has type II diabetes and it breaks my heart every time he injects himself with insulin every day and night. Having diabetes is really hard for my husband as he needs to watch on the food that he is eating though still can’t resist on eating sweets.

Next time when we go to the store we will skip on the candy aisle so my son, Charles can’t see anymore yummy candies. Every time we pass at the candy aisle Charles will kept on saying, “Yummy, Yummy” and he wants Hershey’s Kisses and M&M’s. These are his all time favorite ones and my husband loved them as well. Even at a very young age a child can have early diabetes and that’s what scares me the most for my son, Charles.
