Medical Records Software

December 27, 2012

Keeping accurate medical records is a very important hospital function. Today, many hospitals are using Medical Records Software to make file keeping easier and to make information more accessible to the patient. My husband’s sister MJ is a registered nurse and their cousin Linda a Director of Nursing. These type of jobs have to deal with patients every day; they are using Electronic Medical Records at the hospital in which they work. OptimusEMR is a leader in the electronic medical records (EMR) industry. They develop software for hospitals to help organize information about patients. This allows hospitals to easily share and access information about any given patient, and no information will be lost.

This technology cuts down on paper work and redundant reports. Ultimately costs are reduced. Take advantage of the advancement in today’s technology in keeping all your patients’ records. Electronic Health Records are more convenient and are a total time saver for you and your staff. Most importantly, OptimusEMR enhances a facility’s ability to provide quality patient care. This is the goal every health care facility strives to meet. Let OptimusEMR help you reach that goal.

Are We There Yet?

We had a great trip driving for about 7 hours though Charles kept on asking, “Are We There Yet”. How much more when we visit to the Philippines? Geez the trip is around 24 hours and Charles would not be happy about that type of traveling. Charles does not want to watch any of his DVDs and does not want to play games on the phone either. We had decided to stop by at an antique store just to get out from the car and besides Doug was sleepy while driving.

When we stopped by at Weston, Charles was very happy when he walked on the snow and threw snow balls on me. When we arrived here at my sister’s-in-law’s house, Charles decorated his own Christmas Tree and it looked beautiful. Anyway, today Charles was crossed when his aunt Cheryl went to church this morning. So Doug took Charles to church and Charles did a pretty good job at the church. They also got a bag of candies and fruits when they got back home.

Catalog Prints

Online printing has had a drastic effect on the printing business. No longer must you spend hours at the local printer or god forbid printing yourself. One of the great new applications is the ability to do catalog prints from online. Having your business’ own catalog is a great and easy way to increase your contact with customers and in the long run increase your sales.

I Need To Pack Our Clothes

December 21, 2012

Just a few days away and we are going to visit my husband’s sisters for the holiday. I usually pack our clothes one week before we leave and for some reason I haven’t started packing anything yet. Over these past couple of days now I have not been feeling very well. Every time I will start doing household chores around the house I felt like I am getting dizzy. I have been feeling this way for the past couple of months now and ignored it thinking this will go away and it just keeps getting worse. Sleeping is my biggest problem as I don’t get enough sleep every night or during the daytime. I just can’t sleep even though I will take medicine like melatonin or unisom still these doesn’t help at all.

When we were kids when we are afraid of something like someone had died and couldn’t sleep my mother would take us in town and have our “Palu-on”. “Palu-on” hmmm how do I described the thing? A tiny bowl of hot coconut shells and dried leaves to keep it smoke while the person is saying a prayer. Believe me it smells really good and that kind of thing really helped me and I would like to do it when we visit next year. Hopefully I would feel so much better later today so I can start packing our clothes and clean the bathrooms before we leave. I also want to go shopping and use my secret rewards card that I got from Victoria’s Secret when I shopped at the store. I don’t know how much the card is worth so I want to use it before it expires today.

Camp Chateaugay

December 17, 2012

Every child while growing up sometime wants to go to a great summer camp.  Charles our son is already looking forward to going to a great summer camp in the next few years. I have found a great camp that has all that you could ever want in Camp Chateaugay. Camp Chateaugay is a well known and respected camp in New York State. It has wonderfully beautiful vistas and loads of great outdoor activities for children and teens of all ages. Outdoor activities from whitewater rafting, to days long backpacking trips and canoe trips on beautiful Lake Champlain.

There are also many great activities and sports available from team sports like baseball and basketball to archery and martial arts. Each camper gets to develop their own activities along with the organized activities that each cabin does together. Your child can learn valuable social skills in a safe environment while at the same time having an incredible amount of safe fun while making lifetime friends.

Of Visiting The Philippines

Doug and I has been planning of visiting the Philippines hopefully next year. As I looked at the price of a roundtrip airline tickets around May, from Kansas City, to Manila it is around $1,585.50 one adult only, and includes all government and airport taxes and fees plus all carrier-imposed surcharges. Another roundtrip tickets from Manila to Tacloban plus hotel accommodation is surely another high price upon our budget. With the Fiscal Cliff still on the verge of negotiation what could affect be my husband’s salary and tax returns? Also the value of the dollar rate in the Philippines is getting low one dollar is equivalent to around 39 pesos. Way too lower than in previous years. Maybe a few years from now one dollar would be equivalent to 1 peso. We really wanted to visit in the Philippines for a couple of weeks before Charles goes to school next year.

It has been five years since I have seen my family. Life is too short and I don’t want to regret one day because of one wrong decision like not visiting the Philippines. As I spoke with my mother the other night her first cousin Maribel, died a couple of days ago. She just had her baby this September 21st. No known complications from her childbirth so it was kind of shocked to me when I heard the news. I realized how lucky I am throughout my pregnancy and childbirth of Charles. Don’t have any problems at all though when I think of having another child I keep on thinking what if something goes wrong? Well, that’s our plan for now. I need to renew my passport but Doug is busy with the wrestling season specially at this time of the year until February.

My JUSTFAB Complaint

I spent hours reading JustFab rip off from their customers complaint who had been charged of $39.95 store credit. Just the other day, I had the same problem and had store credit of $39.95 which I can use to make a purchase to any items from the website. I really don’t want to make a purchase as of this month as I am saving the money for another reason. Still JustFab charged me of $39.95 and saw it on the bank statement yesterday. Last night, I had to ordered Tarni boots. When I checked the tracking order it doesn’t show activity about my order. This thing is making me anxious now when something goes wrong with my order online. I have read negative complaints from customers and I am planning the same way of cancelling my account once I receive the item hopefully.

Buying shoes and handbags for $39.95 and getting free shipping is not worthy when you are a member from JustFab. In the end you will be charge of $39.95 when you forgot to skip every 5th day of the month which I did and still I was charged the next day. If I couldn’t see any actions on my tracking order I would definitely call their customer service number and ask my refund. JustFab’s customer service representatives are rude and will put you on hold according to the complaints that I have read earlier. For now, I will have to wait for my order and I am going to cancel my account right away.

This is a great time of year with Christmas to personalize your home for visitors and also to give out great and unexpected gifts. Gifts that your loved ones will love and cherish. Extreme Couponing Is Crazy

We’re on our way inside Walmart yesterday and noticed the guy beside us was carrying binder, folder and newspapers. Geez the guy is a couponer! Surely he is going to stack up on products using his coupons. Using coupons really saves you money though it can make someone Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD. I have seen people featured on Extreme Couponing, on TLC and these people are crazy. Most of these couponers don’t want their family members messing up how they cut the coupons. Arrange every products according to their place in the garage or bedroom aka Mini Grocery.

Over the past couple of months I have been using coupons on the products that we use all the time. I don’t have any stock pile which I don’t plan to have. It seems to me couponing can make couponer a hoarder. All the products has expiration dates and what are you going to do when it is about to get expired unless you donated your groceries to the less fortunate. For me, just buy products that you usually use around the house and don’t buy products that will only sit on your garage or bedroom.

Medical File Folders

If you run a business you know or should know that you must keep a medical file for your employees. According to the Federal Government and OSHA you must keep a separate medical file for each employee. You need professional medical file folders for your business according to law. The last thing any business should ever want is to find themselves on the wrong side of OSHA.

Charles Wants To Wrestle

December 9, 2012

I am a little disappointed with Charles when he got all the penny’s inside his Advent Calendar the other day. I guess he was not interested anymore in opening the window every night and see what he got inside each window. Oh well it has been a very busy weekend for my husband. Just yesterday he attended a Wrestling Tournament in Springdale which is close to where we live. Next week another tournament is on the schedule and it will be held in Miami, Oklahoma.

How I wish Charles and I can go to every tournament that my husband has and ride in the bus but it is difficult to travel when you have a kid. Now that Charles wants to wrestle me and his dad I think letting him attend Kid’s Wrestling will be a great start for him. As a parent I will be very supportive for whatever sports and career he will be interested for his future.

Getting Free Stuff Is Awesome

December 7, 2012

Getting free stuff in the mail is awesome. Just today I got address labels from Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The address labels are cute and I love the designs as well. I know this is a solicitation letter to make donations to the foundation but for me I’d rather donate to the charity or foundation in person rather sending the money in the mail or online donations. This is my second time to received address labels in the mail and I have plenty of them now. Oh well, Christmas Day is just a couple of days away and I know you are all excited for the holiday and so am I. We are going to visit my husband’s sisters in Missouri for the holiday and we are all looking forward to see everybody. Charles and I are planning to stay longer when Doug gets back home on Christmas Day.

Doug and his wrestling team are attending Holiday Wrestling Tournament, in Springfield, Missouri. For me, I really don’t like this Holiday Wrestling Tournament every year. Doug is more focused doing wrestling practice rather than spending his holidays with us though that is what his job requires. Coaching wrestling and helping these kids get better on the mat every day will keep him busy over the last few months. I have seen how these kids wrestle and I am very proud of my husband. All his efforts are paid off to see the kids win in every match they have. How much more when they are all State Medalist?

December 6, 2012

Finding for the perfect gift without overspending your budget can be done at With a huge selection of mother s ring designs available it will keep your shopping. What could be more fun and enticing then to buy one for the holiday. Me, I do really like the Heart’s Embrace Ring with 3 Stones from Joy Jeweler. It’s beautiful and I’m sure the ring will look great on my finger.

Glazed Doughnuts Are My Favorite

Glazed Doughnuts are my favorite doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. Not too fancy yet delicious.

G and L Clothing Store

December 3, 2012

I definitely gained weight this year as my favorite jeans does not fit on me anymore. Just after Thanksgiving I bought a new pair of Skinny Levis Jeans and of course in a different size from 0 to 3 short. Well, I have been browsing on the web looking for great deals online so I can save extra bucks on Christmas presents. Every year we always have exchange gifts and we got my husband’s brother-in-law’s name, John. I know he likes wearing jeans which makes him comfortable driving in his truck. Any Dickies Clothing will be a perfect gift to him for Christmas.

I really like G and L Clothing Store. They offer men’s, women’s and children’s clothes. They also have winter and lighter clothing that are perfect for working in like Bibs, Coveralls, and Safety Clothing. As an online shopper I always take advantage of free shipping just like what G and L Clothing offer to their customers when you spend over $100. Shopping online is very easy as you can easily track your orders online and return is easy as well. Whether you are looking for name brands like Carhartt, Levis, Dickies, Timberland, and LaCrosse, G and L Clothing is the perfect store for your shopping needs.

My Freebies From Victoria's Secret

Charles and I went to see a Junior Varsity Wrestling Tournament yesterday where my husband coaches. While we were there I weighed myself and I wasn’t surprised that I gained 10 lbs. I definitely gained weight over the years and I am loving it. My only complained when I gained weight is I don’t fit most of my jeans so I bought new pair of jeans after Thanksgiving. I saved some bucks because my sister-in-law Connie had her Kohl’s card worth $10 plus coupons and she gave it to me. I do really like shopping. Just a couple of weeks ago I bought products from Victoria’s Secret and during checkout the cashier gave me a Secret Reward Card. The amount will be reveal when I make another purchase from November 29 to December 20, 2012. Though the card has $10, $50, $100 or $500 off which is exciting. I also got a $10 off from Victoria’s Secret in the mail as Happy Birthday Card valid now through January 31, 2013.

I also want to have a customer rewards card from Dillard’s though they need a Driver’s License and I don’t have one. My Green Card is not considered a valid ID because there are numbers on the Driver’s License that they want to enter on the system and my Green Card hasn’t. But according to the sales associate I can use my husband’s Driver License to sign up for customer rewards card using my name. I know this sounds weird to me that is why I never keep on bugging Doug about this issue. The only good thing of having customer rewards card is I will earn points for every dollar I spent which great every time I shop at Dillard’s.

Custard Cake from Terrace Buffet

November 24, 2012

Every time we visit in Kansas City, I always make sure to stop by at Argosy Casino and eat at the Terrace Buffet. For some reason I really like the Custard Cake or Leche Flan which we called in the Philippines. Aside from eating at Terrace Buffet, I am infatuated with the huge Christmas Tree inside Argosy Casino. It is way too big and the ornaments are huge as well which makes the tree look so lovely.

Back Pain Relief

November 20, 2012

My husband, Doug has began having back pains over the last couple of years. In the past he has had back spasms but now the pain is becoming more chronic. Many Americans face debilitating and life effecting spinal pain. Many have found relief and regained their life through North American Spine uses real medical tools and techniques that allow you to regain control of your daily life all with the least invasive techniques available.

Try Your Wedding Dress Before The Wedding

Being originally from the Philippines we have so many beliefs that I used to believe in when I was growing up. Living in a different country and culture gives me an eye opening of how it has changed of my beliefs. One of the common beliefs that older individuals would say to the future bride when she is about to get married is: Do not ever try on the wedding dress before your wedding as they would always say it is a bad luck. Something wrong is going to happen to the bride and groom or to other family members.

Well, living here in the US for almost five years now when someone is getting married the bride needs to try the wedding dress before the wedding. Looking for that perfect wedding dress is very special to the future bride as every bride wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. It may take several wedding dresses for every bride to find the perfect wedding dress but it is worth it when she finds the one. Just like a few days ago, my husband’s good friend Greg married a Filipina and she wore the wedding dress before her wedding and posted the picture on Facebook.

As I read the comments a Filipina questioned why she had already wore the dress before the wedding? Well, the bride replied that she doesn’t believed any of those beliefs when wedding dress fitting before the wedding is a bad luck. Which is not true at all. So ladies out there when your guy ask to marry you and wants to have a wedding don’t be afraid to try your wedding dress. It is fun to look and try any wedding dresses for your wedding.

Nexsan Data Storage

Just this time last year my husband, Doug got a Trojan virus on our desktop computer. Having had computers for 10 years he had never had what happened happen. The virus hid our desktop seemingly erasing the hard drive. Luckily Doug was able to back up the data onto CD's before he had to rebuild the system. This can happen to anyone how much worse if the data was lost and you are a business? Disk backup protection is what every business should have to protect itself.

Nexsan is one of the leaders in production of data storage devices for flexible data storage of digital data, for use in archiving, backing up cloud data or any sort of digital media. Nexsan's backup and restore, secondary storage solutions have built-in features to help protect and recover data. Protect yourself and your business from hackers with the best is data storage and protection.

November 17, 2012

As the end of the year comes it quickly brings us to the tax season which begins in January to March. While for many individual tax payers filing their taxes is a great time because of the refunds many get, for businesses it is not quite so simple. If you are a business your tax filings are much more complex and the chances of you having to pay are much greater. What you need if you own or manage a business is someone like Outright on your side. Outright is your source for filing help including using the new 1099-K form which will make your taxes much more efficiently filed.

Quite A Busy Day For Me

Quite a busy day for me. Did some laundry, folded the clothes that was sitting in the laundry basket and cleaned Charles’ room. We did not go shopping today. Doug arrived home around 2 o’clock in the afternoon from his wrestling fund raising. It took an hour later than they did on last year’s chicken sale. But anyhow, they sold out all the chickens that they had and he brought 4 chickens home. The chicken tasted really good. Oh well, how’s the weather like in your area? Here, it is cold out and we turned on our heater for the last few days now. I’d rather stay inside the house than go anywhere. Though tomorrow we are going to go shopping when Doug is watching a movie.

I also plan to drive our car at the schools parking lot before we go to the mall. With so many great things to do before the holiday we want Charles to see Santa Claus at the mall in Fayetteville. I already looked at the schedule this afternoon and also want to visit the downtown square in Fayetteville. They just lit up the Christmas lights decorations around the square and it is very pretty. Last year, we visited the place and it was pouring rain really bad. Now that I know the schedule we will definitely drive around the city.

Of Getting My Citizenship Changed

November 16, 2012

I will be 5 years living here in the United States of America this November 27. Living here in the US is amazing and I know there are so many great opportunities ahead of me. One of the opportunities that I can do great for myself is getting my citizenship changed. I have seen immigrants change their citizenship on television and they looked very happy knowing they are US Citizens. Many have waited for many years to become citizens. Just this morning, I saw the Today Show and 30 immigrants from different countries had their oath of citizenship ceremony in New York and there is one from the Philippines.

Doug, and my sisters-in-law are very supportive and always encourage me to change my citizenship. It is quite expensive to take the naturalization test and of course I always think what if I fail on the test? I can take another test when I fail the first test still taking the next test is very nerve racking what if I failed again. I don’t want to spend the money and waste it even though its for my own good. Studying is the best thing I can do before I take the test. So today, while watching those newly American Citizens I realized I want to be part of this great country for my family and be able to vote in the future.

I like the freedom of this country though there are still people that will talk about me but so far I have not heard any of those nasty comments. For Charles going to school next year its my job to drive him to school when Doug is not around. I can drive a little bit  and I need to practice more in driving our car. I have not taken my driving test yet and I want to take the test so I can have my drivers license.

Online Backups For Your Computer

November 15, 2012

My husband’s good friend Chris is a professional computer technician at a local college. Chris told us last year we should backup our computers after my husband, Doug accidentally downloaded a Trojan Virus on our desktop computer. Doug was able to get our important files and pictures off the computer though it was pretty difficult and took a long time. That is why Chris suggested a good online backup program. Since then Doug and I have looked for the Best Online Backups available on the web.

Best is the place we go to find the best deals in service, GB and in price for our backup needs. They take the time to actually check the quality of all the best of the online backup sites. The sites are graded in many categories like, GB of storage, price, reputation, upload and download speeds and even if they offer money back services. Check out the best and compare them all on one site.

One Direction Are All Cute :)

November 14, 2012

I always have trouble sleeping and lately I keep on getting up earlier than normal which is irritating. So I always find myself watching the Today Show every morning. Just the other day, I saw One Direction performing at the Toyota Concert Series. I admit the UK’s singing sensations are all cute and have their own personalities that every teenager can have a crush on. Tomorrow, One Direction will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and I am looking forward to see the show.

I Like Staggered Ceramic Mosaic Tiles

My husband, Doug and I are considering re-doing our master bathroom hopefully next year when we get our tax refund. I have been browsing on the web looking for the perfect style and color of tiles and bathroom accessories that my husband and I could agree on. I was fascinated when I saw the Staggered Ceramic Mosaic Tiles Devonshire Cream from the Waterworks website. This is the type of tiles that I would love to have in our master bathroom and I know my husband will love it just as much as I did. sells high end premium bathroom and kitchen related products including faucets, fittings, tubs, showers, tiles, bathroom accessories and more. Waterworks has over 50 locations throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Restoring or updating your home while a lot of work is also great in planning and achieving what you really want from your space. As an added bonus you get to make your home not just look better but have a much higher market value.

Flats To Rent in Aberdeen

November 12, 2012

If you are planning to unwind for the holiday season, flats in Aberdeen has a lot to offer all for a very reasonable cost. You can rent flats in Aberdeen by simply looking at lettingweb for your property search. All the properties available on the website are in great locations. With 2-4 bedrooms they are perfect for you and your family as well.

If you are looking for flats to rent in Aberdeen you can visit on this website, Searching for flats to rent in Aberdeen here on my computer is very easy and interesting. It gives me the idea that I would like to live or visit to another country and rent any of these flats available at To make things even better it is cheaper than staying at the hotel in the long run.

Looking Forward To Seeing One Direction

I have never seen One Direction, UK’s teen sensation perform on national television but tomorrow I am looking forward to seeing them on the Today Show. I don’t know what time they will perform on stage so I have to record the show on the DVR. I’m sure the crowd is going to get wild when they perform on the stage. Just this morning there are so many girls are already lining up just to watch the Toyota Concert Series of One Direction. I maybe a little older but I am still young at heart so I really want to see One Direction on television. My husband is not a big fan any of these teens especially Justin Bieber.

I always told him what if we have a daughter and she wants to see Justin Bieber what are you going to do? I remember during Father’s Day where a dad took his daughter to see Justin Bieber performed at the Today Show. The father was the one in line for his daughter. I think it was cute but I don’t think my husband is going to do like that for his daughter. He can’t even stand for a longer period of time how much more standing up waiting for Justin Bieber? I am not a big fan of Justin Bieber either but for our daughter I’m sure we need to do what’s best for her to keep her happy.

Patio & Outdoor Furniture Repair

November 10, 2012

Since we moved this July my husband, Doug and I have been planning many remodels and additions to our new home. Unlike our old duplex we lived in our new home has a small patio and room for outdoor furniture. We are looking forward to adding many things to our new backyard and patio area. Doug really wants a new grill so that we can grill out. Living in a Southern state means that we have more time to grill as the weather is better throughout the fall and winter months. Besides a new grill we are looking at many other backyard upgrades. We are looking to rebuilding our security fence, though it is ok we want it to look better.

We also cannot wait to get Charles a couple of things for his backyard. We are planning on getting Charles a new sandbox to play in as well as a swing play set. This Christmas Charles’ Aunties are planning on getting Charles a power wheels truck or gator. The one thing we are not getting all new is our backyard furniture. Just a couple of summers ago we bought a real nice outdoor furniture set. Unfortunately, one of our chairs and our umbrella was damaged in a severe storm last summer. Luckily, I have found a way around buying totally new furniture that will help the overall appearance of our home and its value.

Remodeling and adding features to your home like window treatments and patios will for sure add value to your home. If you are planning to add a new patio or to refurbish your backyard you need to hire a highly trained team to do the job for you. Patio Guys are experts in any patio chair repair, outdoor furniture repair and refinishing your patio furniture without any overspending of your budget. With all of our upgrades and repairs finding a highly successful but cost affective way to solve our upgrades. Wow, I cannot wait to have all of our upgrades done so Charles and I can enjoy our new huge yard and we can have friends and family over.

Falcon Lightweight Tactical Series

November 7, 2012

My husband Doug is a huge World War II collector though he sold some of his collections online. Aside from collecting World War II things he also love reenacting with his friends from college. Recently Doug has began to expand his collections into modern military equipment over the last couple of years. I am wanting to get him something special for his Christmas present from me this year. Doug has a United States Army desert camo uniform like those worn in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One thing he lacks and really wants is a nice tactical headset. He especially likes the one made by CJ Products, the Falcon Lightweight Tactical Series. I know that Doug will love the headset for his uniform and equipment collection. Of course it will be tough to top his United States Infantry Uniform collection from World War II. He has been collecting that stuff for twenty years.

Looking Forward To See Everybody

November 5, 2012

Just two more weeks and we will be visiting Kansas City for Thanksgiving. We are all looking forward to see everybody. Any day now I am going to start packing our clothes a few days before we leave so every thing is ready to go. I love Thanksgiving and most of all shopping with my sisters-in-law. I also remember that’s the time wherein they are going to lights up the Christmas lights at The Plaza in Kansas City. I’ve been there three times and it is very pretty.

I’m sure Charles is going to enjoy Thanksgiving, and Christmas this year more than ever of course he is getting older. Speaking of Charles I am very proud to be his mother. Charles just turned 4 this September and he already knows the phonetic sounds, counts one to a hundred, and he can read books as well. For sure when I was at his age I did not know any of these things Charles has already learned.

I Will Be 5 Years Living Here in the US

November 1, 2012

Today is the first day of November and I am loving the weather. What are you looking forward to at this time of the year? For my family, we love Thanksgiving, and Christmas as we can get a chance to visit and spend time with my husband’s family during the holiday season. Aside from holidays, this time of the year is the perfect time to go shopping. So many great deals at the stores and online. As for me, I will have to wait after Thanksgiving day so I need to save some of my money.

Anyway, on November 27th I will be 5 years living here in the U.S. and I can’t believed it has been that long. I have not seen my family in so many years and we are all looking forward to see them when we visit hopefully next year. I couldn’t decide what’s the best month to visit though Christmas is my favorite time of the year when I was in the Philippines before. Weather is a big issue for me during December in the Philippines. It is rainy season and sometimes there is flooding in our area which is very scary especially I have a child going with me.

March is summer in the Philippines and I would love to experience a different weather again. I don’t know about Charles whether he can take the heat or not. Even when we were outside this summer his cheeks are red how much more when we are in the Philippines? May and June are the perfect month to visit as well though my husband is still working and he doesn’t want to be left out when Charles and I go home in the Philippines hopefully next year.

Oh I have been talking about visiting in the Philippines and never realized my passport had expired. My husband is very busy at school especially at this time the year so we are going to renew my passport when the school year is over maybe at the end of June. Renewing my passport is not fun at all as we need to go to Chicago for a personal appearance. I guess going to Chicago won’t be as bad after all as we can get a chance to see different places and buildings which I like.

Flourescent Bulbs

October 25, 2012

I am originally from the Philippines and I am used to white lights and not the yellow lights (bulbs). Since we moved in this house I always complain about how dark it is in the bedroom but we keep on forgetting to buy fluorescent bulbs every time we go to the store. There are many changes on the horizon in the lighting industry. With new regulations on disposable light bulbs everyone needs to find the type of bulbs they can use.

These new bulbs need to provide great lighting but also meet the standards of being long lasting and environmentally friendly.  While my husband does not care much about bulbs as he wants to live like a Troll in a cave. He reminds me of the trolls from his favorite books and movies, light will turn him to stone. I on the other hand love sunlight as well as well light rooms around our house.

Love These Pumps :)

I know I should be starting picking up Charles toys in the living room but here I am browsing on the web. With so many great shoes and styles available online sometimes it can be frustrating when the store don’t carry my shoe size which is 5. I do really love these pumps but the smallest it is available in is 5.5 size which is a little bigger for me. I can wear 5.5 boots or sneakers as I also wear socks with these types of shoes.

Before I bought a 5.5 sandals and thought it would work on my feet in the long run but it didn’t work well for me. I wore the sandals once during my husband’s sister’s wedding and that‘s it.

Bridgeway Free Learning Style Assessment

October 22, 2012

My husband, Doug is a high school teacher and he says it is sad to see students that are not able to do simple things like read and add. Lets face some facts here, not all schools are created equal. Some schools are ran well and do a great job teaching students. Others are overwhelmed and overcrowded and students can at times get lost in the shuffle. Even your best schools have troubles identifying students who need help. Luckily, for everyone involved there are options to help your child.

Bridgeway Free Learning Style Assessment is provided by Bridgeway Academy to provide you with an honest assessment of your child’s strengths and weaknesses as a student. Once you receive your free assessment with some ideas of how to help weak areas. If you would like to then enroll your child in the Bridgeway Academy options can be discussed. Whatever you do please do your child a great favor and give them the great education they deserve.

Charles' Halloween Costume

In a few days October will be over. Time flies really fast and we are all looking forward to Halloween and the other holidays as well. Last night, my husband ordered Charles’ NASCAR Kyle Busch Halloween Costume. I do really like the Dale Earnhardt, JR. Halloween Costume but Charles prefers the M&M’s one. At least though Charles is not wearing a Captain America costume which my husband really likes for Charles to wear on Halloween.

My husband is a big fan of superhero’s and Charles is not. He likes NASCAR races the most and so do I. I can watch it as well when Charles is watching the race. Anyway, Doug is a little bit worried maybe Charles costume will not arrive before Halloween. I told him we still have plenty of time unless bad weather really happens which is a big joke…

What is Rebif?

October 20, 2012

I have no idea what Rebif is all about so I had to looked it up on the internet. I just learned Rebif is a prescription medicine that can be taken when someone has Multiple Sclerosis. Before taking any Rebif medicine make sure to talk to your healthcare provider about your health problems for possible side effects of the medication.

I Love This Power Player Handbag Satchel

October 19, 2012

Its hard to describe how my day was today. I have not been feeling very well over the last few days now and it is driving me insane. I had not slept last night and my runny nose won’t stop from coming. At least though Charles is feeling so much better now. The best part of my day today was when I ordered, Power Player Handbag Satchel from my favorite website which is JUSTFAB. I didn’t think twice when I saw the handbag all I know was I wanted to buy it using my savings without asking my husband first.

Later in the afternoon we drove down to Beaver Lake and saw the trees. It is pretty at this time of the year and I am glad we got a chance to see them before the leaves fall to the ground. Then we went to Colton’s Steak House and Grill for our dinner. I had ordered Sirloin Steak and Shrimp with sautéed mushrooms. I really couldn’t tell how my food tasted like. Being sick is not fun and I hope I will feel better soon.

Charles Got a Runny Nose

October 15, 2012

Charles didn’t sleep very well last night. He’s got a cold and tonight he has a runny nose. The only good thing is; he is still playing and looks very active throughout the day. It is really hard for me to see my son get sick. Though I can count on my fingers how many times Charles has gotten sick in 4 years. My husband is working everyday and he gets more busy during the wrestling season which is coming later this month. We live far away from his sisters so it is only Charles and me during the day. I am so looking forward for this week to be over. Over the last few months it has been a struggle with some stuff and I am glad it is over. Oh and hope to take a drive Sunday and see the trees changing color, it is beautiful in the Ozarks this time of year.

Want a Karaoke Machine?

October 12, 2012

I am originally from the Philippines, and a karaoke machine is a big part in everyday’s entertainment. The music is just to have fun and sing. It is good to have karaoke in your home specially when you are having a party. Great for entertainment even though not everybody can sing well. Whether you are looking for Spanish or Chinese Karaoke Music is not a problem anymore.

What I Want for Christmas?

Christmas Day is more than two months away and I am looking forward to that day. Over the last few weeks now I have been browsing on the web looking for Christmas presents and I did find a couple of items that I really like. I love the Xena faux-suede ankle boot. This is perfect for skinny jeans which I prefer wearing rather than straight cut jeans. Hopefully this will be available sometime soon as I really want to buy them.

Galapagos Cruise Ship a Taste of Luxury

October 11, 2012

My husband, Doug and I never really got a chance to visit other places after we got married. A baby was on the way and it is difficult to travel when you have a child. Now that our son, Charles is big enough to travel and experience what the world has to offer. My husband and I are planning to take a cruise ship vacation not only here in the United States but  to other countries as well. My husband and I are always interested in  the animals we see even though we just see them on television.

How much more when we can get a chance to touch any of these animals? I am interested to know more about Galapagos Cruises. I think Galapagos Cruise Ship is a taste of luxury while having a vacation without over spending on our budget. Galapagos Cruise is definitely a fun-filled family vacation to look forward to this summer and we cannot wait to experience the wonder of the Galapagos islands.

My Lil' Football Player

October 8, 2012

Thanks to very nice weather today. Charles and I got a chance to play outside and had a picnic. Though Charles didn’t eat the peanut butter sandwich that I made for him. I guess he was too excited to be out and run around the yard while playing football. Oh well, I had quite a busy day today. I baked some Classic Yellow Cupcakes and Charles loved it. And for our dinner I had cooked Chicken Strips and it tasted really good. I realized cooking is my other passion though when the oil is splattering over me it scares the hell out of me.

Home Interior Stores

October 6, 2012

Home decorating makes your house look beautiful and more personal. Whenever you are planning on re-decorating your home, finding the right home interior stores is an absolute must. The Garden Gates is your home decorating store for furniture, home decor, campania, holiday decorating, garden and patio living. Of course finding a store that does not break your budget is important as well.

Buy Pinoy Products

I had a very good day today. We went to the Asian store, Manna Oriental Market, and got a bag of Jasmine rice and other Filipino products. Then we went to the Antique store and Charles got a NASCAR CAT car for only $6 which is a great deal. While at the antique store I had decided to stopped by another Asian store, A’Chau Oriental Market. I got some string beans, milk fish, and a ripe jackfruit. String beans are one of my favorite vegetables to eat So I ate like a pig tonight. Just kidding!

IFA Auto Insurance

October 2, 2012

My husband, Doug is a school teacher and a wrestling coach. Doug uses texting to reach all of his wrestlers if there is an event coming up or for some reason he needs to contact them quickly. It is way easier to text 45 kids at once then make 45 phone calls. What he thinks is crazy is how kids will not pick up a phone call but will instantly answer a text. Doug is always saying how worried is though when texting kids because they may be driving.

Texting while driving is huge especially with kids. Distracted driving has always been a problem, messing with a radio, making phone calls or texting all have and continue to be huge dangers on the road. Safe driving is becoming more and more a focus and many companies are urging no distracted driving. Even insurance companies like IFA Auto Insurance are crusading for safe driving by all, not just teens. Protect yourself and your loved ones and pay attention to the road.

Yummy! No More

October 1, 2012

Over the last few days now my son, Charles keeps on asking for sweets before eating any meals. He even likes to say, “triple please” so I can give it to him right away. As a mom I don’t want to give him when he wants to only eat sweets. I am really afraid he might end up with diabetes just like his dad. My husband, Doug has type II diabetes and it breaks my heart every time he injects himself with insulin every day and night. Having diabetes is really hard for my husband as he needs to watch on the food that he is eating though still can’t resist on eating sweets.

Next time when we go to the store we will skip on the candy aisle so my son, Charles can’t see anymore yummy candies. Every time we pass at the candy aisle Charles will kept on saying, “Yummy, Yummy” and he wants Hershey’s Kisses and M&M’s. These are his all time favorite ones and my husband loved them as well. Even at a very young age a child can have early diabetes and that’s what scares me the most for my son, Charles.

Excited To Get My Own Golf Drivers

September 26, 2012

This summer was a real exciting one for me. We did so many important things like, find a new house, move and visit family. One other exciting thing was that my husband, Doug taught me how to play golf for the first time. Over the last few years I have played putt putt golf with Doug, and his sisters but this year was the first time I actually played golf.

I found the sport very challenging but at the same time a lot of fun and since we walked a good little work out. One thing I did find out for sure is I need my own golf clubs to continue to play. I am less then five feet tall and borrowing clubs for my stature is not the easiest as Doug, and all his friends have bigger clubs. I am excited to get my own golf drivers and other clubs soon.

Charles wants to be Captain America

I can't believed September is almost over. Well, I am really looking forward to the next few months. Halloween is just couple weeks away and Charles wants to dress up like, Captain America. I though really like his costume as Iron Man but Charles, keeps on insisting he wants Captain America. That's what he wants so we are going to get his costume sometime soon. Another thing we are looking forward to over the next few months is we are going to visit my husband's sister Connie, for Thanksgiving.

And Christmas is just a couple of weeks away so I am really excited. Charles is going to get a powered vehicle from all of his aunts for his Christmas present. Charles is very lucky to have all of his aunts and uncles. Oh I just remember I want my husband to drive us around maybe next week so we can see the trees. I love how the trees change color. They are so pretty and it always amazes me. I have never seen trees that changes its colors when I was in the Philippines so I really enjoy the Fall Season.

Cutting Edge Web Design

September 25, 2012

Whether you own a business locally or even a global one of the best way to increase your sales and profit margin is to have your own web site. This may sound crazy to you now, how can I have my own web site? This was the question I asked to myself when I began in the blogosphere. I had no idea what a web site was and how it should looked like. What designs and templates do I really want for my web site? As a blogger I really want to improve my template designs to increase my traffic online and so should you. Over the last few days I have begun checking out Cutting Edge Web Design Toronto. They have professional web page designers who are knowledgeable and understand every vision of what customers really wants for their web site. For me I really like the simplest web designs that are still yet attractive to look at and most of all easy to navigate for web browsers. Today millions of people shop everyday for entertainment, products, company, services that someone need all online. Matter of fact think about it even the yellow pages of the past are long gone for many. My husband says he has not even had yellow pages in his house since probably 2004 or so. That is nearing ten years and he does not miss them at all. It is just way more convenient to use your smart phone, computer or tablet to find businesses of all types. Many businesses even have online reviews available to read reviews from the customers. Customer satisfaction and referrals are one of the keys to any business success. So if you are interested in improving your business join the 21st Century and become a true online business make that an online business success.

Toronto T-Shirt Printing Services

September 24, 2012

I have always wanted to have customized shirts for my husband Doug, Charles and I. I think they are cute and a fun statement of who we really are. There are local T-shirt printing services here in town, though my husband, Doug and I, have not really checked them out yet. Being a Teacher and Head Wrestling Coach makes my husband so busy. We will probably just go ahead and order our shirts online. I am interested in using custom shirts toronto. They specialized in embroidery which I like most for my custom shirt.

Doug, prefers silk screen printing for comfort of his shirts. And Charles, well being only four he likes about anything we both like. If you are planning to have shirts customized you can check out toronto tshirt printing services. They have a group of talented professionals that will be able to outfit, yourself, your family, your business or your sports team.

Scholastic Printables

My husband Doug, is a high school teacher so he knows who excels and struggles in class. Well, today there are so many available resources to help your kid learn at home before and after school. Scholastic Printables are perfect for teachers, parents, kids, administrators and librarians. The 4th grade math worksheets are definitely perfect for my sister’s-in-law Connie who is a special education teacher, and Cheryl, who works as a librarian. Giving your kids the right education that they will need is the best thing a mother could ever give to your child. So make sure to check out the free sample of 4th grade math worksheets at home or in your own local school as well.

Holiday Seedless Grapes

My husband Doug, Charles, and I went to The Fresh Market to look at what the store has to offer. Well, I am really impressed of all the products that they have that I can’t see at Wal-Mart. Though the store products are very pricey we found something that we wanted to tried out. We got the Chicken Oscars, Chips, and for our dinner tonight a Rotisserie Chicken Meal. I loved the Holiday Seedless Grapes we got as well. They are big and very sweet. I’m sure Charles, is going to eat it.

Packaging Supplies

Over the last few months I have been collecting groceries so I can send it to my family back in the Philippines before Christmas. I am so glad I already have my packaging supplies that I need like anti-static foam. This will keep my package safer than ever. It is nice knowing I have breakable and valuable items inside the box that will be safe now. Keeping my package safe is very important especially on a very long destination like the Philippines.

September 22, 2012

Gardening is one of my passions as I love different types of flowers. Orchids are my mom and sister’s favorite flower and they always use compost for orchids to keep the plants healthy and to bloom lovely flowers. The scent of orchids are very soothing and the petals can be used for a relaxing bath.

Happy 4th Birthday Charles

September 21, 2012

It was Friday of September 19, 2008 my husband and I were driving on our way home after his doctor’s check-up. My knees were weak and I felt like I need to eat something sweet so I told my husband to buy 3 Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts. It was my last trimester of my pregnancy and I had no idea I was starting early labor at that time already. I stayed in bed the whole afternoon and my husband went back to school. The next day which is Saturday, I stayed in bed all day. At night my husband, and I decided to watch a movie Indiana Jones. At the theater I could feel when Charles kept on moving inside my stomach. The contractions weren’t painful so I wasn’t expecting Charles will come out anytime soon.

Of course when my husband, and I attended on the Lamaze Class it was different than what I had learned in the class. Besides my due date was September 29, and my OBGYN is going to induce me on September 28. Anyway, it was very early Sunday morning when I feel stronger contractions. My husband called the hospital. On our way to the hospital we aren‘t lucky hitting all the stop lights. It was round 9 o’clock in the morning when we arrived at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. A nurse took my vital signs and every thing was normal. I was already dilated of 5 cm so I was admitted on that day. Got my epidural and around 3:30 in the afternoon of September 21, 2008 a 6 lbs 10 oz 20 inches long our bundle of joy arrived in our lives.

It was the most precious moment when I saw and held Charles wrapped around in my arms. As a first time mom I was worried how I am going to put his clothes on? Charles skin was so smooth and so delicate I was so afraid to touch him at first. And now every thing is working great for me and being a mother to my 4 year old son, Charles. He is the greatest gift that we could ever have given to us and brings so much joy to our everyday lives. To my adorable son, Charles Happy Birthday and we love you so much!

Wreaths on Our Front Door

September 18, 2012

We had very nice weather today though it started to cool off when the sun went down. As I looked at the calendar I noticed the First Day of the Fall starts on September 22. Living here in the U. S. for almost 5 years I still don’t know all the holidays and dates. Since Fall is just few days away I am planning to decorate for the Fall, especially our door. I like having wreaths on our front door for the different seasons and holidays. I think it makes our door look pretty. We are also closing in on Halloween and Charles, has already said he wants to be a NASCAR driver. We did not have Halloween in the Philippines though I think it is a really fun holiday. Over all I agree with my husband who says fall is his favorite season of the year. We both agree that we like the leaves turning colors and football, he likes the cool weather better then me though.

How Solar Power Systems Work

September 14, 2012

I have a friend in California that is remodeling here house. Her husband and her have decided to not just change the appearance of their home but also make it more green or ecologically cleaner. They are many things they needed to learn one of which is to figure out how solar power systems work. They are interested in solar power as it does not just save on the electrical bills but also makes them way less dependent on others.

Having been raised in the Philippines where there is many brown outs, having a steady and independent source of power is a great thing. Julie, my friend lives in San Diego and got lucky to see commercials for a local solar company on her TV. Well they have found the right company and have the funds ready so within the next week they will have their solar power installed. Going off the electrical grid is a great alternative.

On Raising My Son, Charles

I am a first time mother and I never really thought I could raise my son, Charles and be a wife to my husband, Doug. I didn’t know any parenting skills when my husband and I got married, and got pregnant with Charles. Though it was easy on my pregnancy and giving birth on Charles. Thanks to my epidural it was pretty painless. As a mother I learned how to managed my time with Charles and doing household chores when my husband is not around. Yes I did it on my own but if we only lived closer to my husband’s sisters we can get plenty of help from them. My husband’s sisters, and their husbands, and family members are the nicest people that I have ever met. Though raising a kid here in the United States and the Philippines where I’m originally from is very different. In the Philippines, you can get a lot of help from your family, friends, and neighbors.

Here in the U.S. you can get a lot of help when you live closer to your family members or you can afford to hire a baby sitter. Well, we don’t have the luxury of hiring a baby sitter and I am not really comfortable hiring one either. I’d rather take care of my son and do things for him 24/7. I know for some mothers out there I know how they spend time reading on books and surf on the web learning how to raise a kid and other stuff online. As for me I haven’t read any book or read on the internet about how to raise a child. I learned how to take care of my son in every day situations. My husband is working 5 days a week and during wrestling season he has to travel for wrestling tournaments so many times I am alone with Charles and raising him.

Strategies for Teaching

September 12, 2012

My husband, Doug is a school teacher. Recently he started his new school year.  This summer he did a lot of research on how he could improve many aspects of his classroom. He was most interested in refining his teaching strategies for his class. Doug talks about how changes that are happening in education, especially something called the Common Core Standards and LCP. Doug says that these changes are leading many teachers to refine their their classes which means their is a need for teacher education. Doug is a history teacher but he has done much work on reading, writing and critical thinking skills.

The higher order thinking skills on Blooms is hit by many of the critical thinking skills strategies and teaching tools that he looked at from Mentoring Minds products. Doug was really impressed by how helpful the reading standards and strategy flip charts were for him to use and understand. Doug says there are many changes coming in public education and he wants to be prepared for them.

Free Pizza from Papa John's

September 9, 2012

Are you all enjoying watching your favorite football team? Its hard to watch when your team is loosing right? For tonight’s game Football is between the Denver Broncos, and Pittsburgh Steelers. My husband and I do like Peyton Manning but my husband hates the Broncos and the Steelers. It doesn’t matter to me when I watch the game or not as I have other shows to watch like Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Real Housewives of New Jersey. Oh well, we had pizza for tonight’s dinner. My husband had earned rewards points for a free pizza from Papa John’s.

Web Copywriting

September 7, 2012

My husband has a good friend, Deak who is a published author. Years ago Deak sold a whole series of fantasy novels that had quite a bit of success.  Unfortunately though his series ran out of steam as a money maker for his publishers. Deak though had more to say in his story so he started using the web to publish more of his novels. Deak did not get rich on his web published books but he did find something that helped him make a move to live off his writing skills.

Deak began a business of working from his home doing various writing for people on the internet. He has been successful in many types of writing including Web Copywriting, Web Marketing and Resume’ Writing. Deak has retired from teaching and now lives comfortably and is his own boss. That would be great making a good living while setting your own hours and being your own boss.

My First Storm

I am originally from the Philippines so I am used to brownouts. It was 5 o’clock when our electricity went off. The rain was pouring hard. The thunder and lightning exchanges back and forth and it is quite scary for me. My husband checked on his iPhone about power outages and our area is on the list. This is my first time to have a real storm since we moved to Arkansas.  Let alone the electricity being off for so long. I realized we can’t cook any food or warm food on the stove. I am also worried on my shrimp that’s inside the freezer. I still have 4 packages of shrimp and I don’t want it to end up in the thrash can. Buying shrimp cost $4.99 per pound and it is difficult to find the fresh ones. Then our car is inside the garage. I don’t think we can open it without pressing the garage opener so we can buy our food out. Luckily, the electricity is back now.

New Scion FR-S

September 6, 2012

My husband, Doug, and I have been looking around for our next car. Though I still need to keep on practicing in driving our car and take the driving test so I can have my driver’s license. Over the last few weeks he test drove some of the cars that we are most likely to have for our next car. Of course it needs to be great or as close to as great as our BMW X5 is now. With so many car dealerships around us we have a lot of options.

I am really interested in Toyota, we can check out the new Scion FR-S hopefully over this weekend. I really like the interior design of the car and the wheel rims as well. Doug likes the aggressive and modern design of the car. Doug also appreciates how the car looks customized  without having to customize it. Now what color to get that is more of  an issue as Doug likes stripes and bold colors while I prefer red, black, and silver.

Crab with Spinach

September 4, 2012

I had a very good day today though I didn’t let my son Charles play outside today because it was way too hot. Our weather for the last two days has been extremely hot and muggy, and reached 100 degrees. Oh well today I cooked crab with spinach, ginger and coconut milk for lunch and it tasted so delicious. Anyway, tonight was the season premiere of Flipping Out, on Bravo and I loved it. During the commercials I saw they have a new show, Life After Top Chef and I am looking forward to watching the show in October. Bravo is by far my favorite channel to watch on television. I also love Food Network, NBC, CNBC, HGTV and CNN.

Cigar Lighters for Christmas Presents

Christmas is just a few months away and I have been browsing on the web looking for Christmas presents for my loved ones. For my father I’m sure he is going to love any new cigar lighters for his Christmas presents. He’s been wanting to have new lighters and I am glad I finally found one. It looks great and he can put it inside his pocket anywhere he goes.

Sleepless Nights

September 1, 2012

Wow last night was so irritating. I do not sleep very well any nights. Of course my husband, Doug and my son, Charles easily fall asleep and always sleep through the night. Me though I lay awake trying to find a way to make myself fall asleep.  Well last night like the night before I was kept awake all night by the crickets chirping outside in our back yard. I had no idea what a cricket was until Doug showed me a picture of one last night on his phone when we laid down in bed.  Doug said crickets are harmless and while I believe him they are not harmless to my nights sleep. We did not have crickets in the Philippines and I never really remember hearing them before this week. We had irritating night noises for sure, especially frogs and toads who croaked loudly when it rained. Of course since it rained the last couple of days maybe the crickets were just happy.

North Carolina Country Clubs

August 28, 2012

I have really been wanting to start to play golf more. Though my husband is back to work at school now there is still some nice weather and a few months before his wrestling season begins. Doug took me to play golf a couple of months ago and I am very interested to learn more about golf and become a much better player. Doug says that golf is a sport that you can play forever and never perfect.  I am ready for the challenge of being a better player.

I also am interested in becoming a member of a country club. Being a member of a country club would give me privileges, like swimming, parties, and to experience fine dining with other members of the club. I recently came across a club I really like, the North Carolina Country Clubs. Though we do not live in North Carolina I am looking for a local club that has all the same amenities.

Fresh Veggies

August 27, 2012

Yesterday, I went to A’Chau Oriental Market. I am a little disappointed though that the string beans that they have has mold on them. String beans is one of my favorite vegetables to eat and it taste so good with dried fish. I also bought squash and bitternut squash. So tonight I am going to cook, pakbit. I don’t have shrimp paste because I never think of cooking pakbit until I realized I have okra in the refrigerator. Besides shrimp paste smells really bad even though I use scented oil all over the house. My son Charles, always complains about the smell when I cook dried fish or milkfish.

Just Got Back Home

We just got back home from Frisco Fest and we decided to eat at Las Palmas here in town. The restaurant was quite busy though we didn’t have to wait too long to get our food. As always I ordered the food that I really like at Las Palmas.  Before I realized it  I had eaten all of my food. I guess I was starving after all the walking and checking out rides.

Mommy I Want You

August 21, 2012

How’s your week going on so far? Is your kid enjoying school? My husband Doug, and I are planning to let Charles go to pre-school next year. He will be five and I’m sure this would be hard for both of us. I have not been away from Charles for a longer period of time and going to school is not an easy thing to do for me. I would definitely need to get a job to keep myself busy. This morning Charles, and I were talking about him of going to school and he said; “Mommy I want you to be there with me”. He’s also excited to ride a school bus which in the future he can’t ride in. We have a car and my husband knows how crazy it is to ride a school bus. My sisters-in-law says the same thing as my husband does of riding a school bus so no school bus ride for Charles. By the way they are both teachers and are not fans of the bus.

Plus unbeatable price there is really no where else you need to look.

Charles' Brings Out The Best In Me

Charles will turn 4 on September 21st and he is getting taller for his age. He has definitely outgrown his sleigh bed and he wants a bunk bed. As for me I really don’t like a bunk bed but my husband likes it for Charles. As my husband always says; its what every kid loves to have. Though my point is I don’t think buying a bunk bed is a smart choice. I want a full sleigh bed wherein Charles can use it for a couple of years and not just for one or two years for a twin loft bed which my husband wants to buy. As of now buying Charles’ bed is just a plan  because he still sleeps in our bed and he doesn’t want to sleep in his room.

We don’t want to spend on something where Charles is not using it. Besides, I know how my husband also like having Charles sleep in our bed just like I do and I love having him in our bed as well. Kids grow up so quickly and I want to spend more time with my baby. Charles is very loving, smart, funny, talented, talkative, energetic and most of all he always brings out the best in me. Charles is the greatest gift we could ever have for my husband and me.

Skrupa Law Firm

August 18, 2012

Without a doubt one of the hardest things financially anyone can go through is going bankrupt. With the last few years horrible economic climate there have been many hard working people that have been forced into bankruptcy. Luckily there are those out there that can help you file and reorganize your finances.  One such firm is, Skrupa Law. Skrupa Law Firm is centered in Nebraska and Iowa. You can have your own nebraska bankruptcy attorney in a short time help you with your financial woes.

Just a few years ago the congress reorganized bankruptcy laws making it harder to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy which forced more people into Chapter 11 bankruptcy. There is a big difference in the rules between a Chapter 7 and a Chapter 11. That is why you really need a well versed attorney that truly understands the complexities of current bankruptcy laws. There is no shame in filing a bankruptcy and be sure to use whatever tools are at hand to help yourself out.

On Counterfeit Goods

August 17, 2012

I am a little disappointed that I couldn’t watch Crime Inc., Counterfeit Goods on CNBC last night. We had a severe weather and we lost our satellite signal on our television. I had set to record the show on our DVR.  It doesn’t look very good though and had no sound at all. The show is back again on Sunday and I have already set our DVR to record the show. Aside from Bravo, NBC, CNN, Food Network, E!, and HGTV, CNBC is my favorite channel to watch on television. Oh well, how would you react when you are rocking a new designer handbags, shoes, and sunglasses without any knowledge these items are all fake?

As a customer it is really hard to tell that the product you just bought is a counterfeit one. I’m sure it is very disappointing especially when you keep on bragging about it. Today, many counterfeit goods are sold everywhere and most of all over the internet. I know how it feels good for someone to have a designer handbag, shoes, and sunglasses. But would you be happy when you know it is a counterfeit? Get real buy what you can afford. Designer items are not really real most of the times if they are super cheap.

Sally Flowers

Are you loving the NFL Pre-season? My husband does. He is a huge Oakland Raiders fan and I know how this team means so much to him. Doug watches every game and is always reading about the Raiders and posting on various message boards about his team. Aside from the Raiders, we both like some other football players off different teams like Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin, both of the Philadelphia Eagles are one of them. My husband and I both like these football players, Vick because he is exciting and Maclin being an alumni of our favorite college team, Mizzou. I also love some other things from Philadelphia. Doug loves the history of the town and me I love philadelphia flowers. Wow! Sally Flowers in Philadelphia has a vast selections of flowers that I love to look at and occasionally order. I am seriously thinking of ordering some flowers to send to my sister in law, Cheryl on her birthday this coming October. Living six hours away sometimes it is hard to decide what to pick for presents. I know though that Cheryl loves flowers and likes to keep them on her kitchen table. Of course you cannot just order flowers you need a nice vase, basket or other accessories to complete the order. There are other times for flowers as well. I like to send them to my friends just to say that I am thinking about them as well as on anniversaries and the most obvious on Valentine’s Day. There is of course the one time we all dread that flowers are needed for as well, funerals. Just last month my husband’s good friend, Chris lost his father unexpectedly. Since we live so far away flowers were needed to be sent from out of town. I am just glad that Sally Flowers was there for us.

Glazed Doughnuts Are My Favorite

August 15, 2012

Yesterday, I was cooking dinner when my husband said; ice cream sounds good to him. All of a sudden I felt like I want to eat something sweet also and Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts sounded good to me as well. Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts are my favorite ones. After eating our dinner I got a phone call from my friend Delilah, who’s living in Virginia and her two kids. It has been a long time that I have not spoken to her on the phone and we chatted for about an hour I guess. Its good to know Delilah and her kids are all doing well.

As a mom I know how difficult it is to take care of your kids especially because she has two boys and I only have one. Geez! Having a boy is very different than having a girl for sure. My son Charles, is very active and I can’t keep up with him when he is playing rough.

Meditation Before Bedtime

August 13, 2012

I cannot remember when it was the last time I had a good night sleep. It is driving me nuts. Just recently I took melatonin and it just never really worked for me. I know there are other ways that I can get help with my sleeping problem.  Meditation before bedtime is one of them that I am really interested in trying out. Meditation talks and music - Free MP3s that I can listen to on my iPhone without disturbing my husband and Charles at night is one for sure I am going to try.

My husband, Doug likes to tell the story of a class he had in college at Missouri State University years ago. He told me one of his physical education classes had the whole class lay down and listen to a meditation compact disc. Doug said he laid down and almost immediately felt drowsy and was asleep in less then a minute. Oh how I hope it works that way for me too.
